A produce marketplace connecting growers to restaurants and grocers, with grades, prices and cut-offs everybody can see.
Buying happened by phone at five in the morning, at a price that depended on who you were. Growers were paid weeks late, orders were written on paper, and a rejected crate became a two-week argument.
One price list, visible
Every grower publishes grade, availability and price per kilo, so a buyer compares like with like instead of negotiating in the dark.
Quality settled at delivery
Rejections are photographed and resolved against the grade that was ordered, at the moment of delivery. The retrospective dispute disappeared.
Growers paid on a schedule
Settlement runs weekly against delivered and accepted quantities, so a grower can plan a season rather than chase invoices.
Buyers order the night before instead of queueing at dawn, growers are paid on a known day, and waste from rejected loads fell sharply.
