Onboarding, multi-currency balances and card controls for a consumer bank, designed for one thumb and a bad connection.
Two out of three people who started an account gave up before finishing. Identity verification was a manual queue, card controls meant calling the branch, and the app was an Arabic translation of an English layout rather than an Arabic product.
Nine screens down to four
Identity, address and liveness resolve from a scanned ID in seconds. Anything that can be inferred is never asked.
Arabic-first, not Arabic-also
The interface was laid out in Arabic first and mirrored to English, so RTL typography, numerals and gestures feel native rather than flipped.
Controls in the customer's hands
Freeze, limits, per-channel toggles and virtual cards live one tap from the balance instead of behind a phone call.

Completion more than doubled and the verification queue disappeared. Card-related call volume fell far enough to redeploy half the support shift.
